The Hosted Gray project was developed in collaboration with uk-based artist Sophy King. The project started out as collective research during the online artist development programme Sustain initiated and hosted by Aarhus Billedkunstcenter and Castlefield Gallery in Manchester. The project focused on ways to achieve a more sustainable and low-carbon online presence as an artist and was released both as an online ressource and as a printed guide for artists. The website guide presents useful advice for artists whether they are starting out or redoing their websites and offers a handful of focus points towards becoming more conscious about the carbon footprint of digital representation. The printed website guide was made available to collect free of charge at Aarhus Billedkunstcenter and Castlefield Gallery.
