Camel Herder

Camel Herder is a piece consisting of the text Unknown Speakers and window stickers. The text is put together from podcast episodes, talks, lectures and other audio material in order to create a fictional conversation about digital economy. The audio was compiled manually and then transcribed by a commercial ai service making the text appear sometimes strangely off due to the software’s small mistakes. In one the interviews used in the piece the founder of the Cardano blockchain talks about a camel herder that he once met who owns bitcoin. The story with its anecdotal character served to highlight that crypto can reach far and beyond and has the potential to be accessible to everyone. The interview is one of the sources referenced in the audio collage and in the text. To accompany the text was a formation of identical small stickers showing a 3d-model of a camel arranged in the shape of diamond - a shape much resembling the logo of the Ethereum blockchain - which was initially also co-founded by the later-to-be founder of Cardano.
